A good character study, well captured. I like the selective desaturation.

This is the first portrait I see from you, and it is great, so full of mood, so peaceful, the soft colors are very beautiful! Congrats!

Hey Marek, it has been awhile I have never seen you.
And I have never seen a potrait work from you.
IMHO the desaturated kicked asses here. Looks lovely and soft.
The detail is soo good too.
Agree with Jose completely.

hello MAREK... nice to see U again... i hope that u will be more active with public. Your artworks because latest time U litlle forg. about Us ;)
anyway... nice capture, good try with this soft colours (unsaturation)... of course it's Your taste but in my opinion this picture looks little too uncontrasted... maybe u can fix this by some trick with levels but as i said as i can see now - it's too uncconcrete and by this view u lose some details especialy in light areas for exampke hairs of this man looks little too bright on grass pattern... but is detail and who cares -- i like this picture for a catched moment and capture... by the way - this moved hand is now a really fashionable style in fotography... nice work...

you are right Andrzej, there are two problems.
1) my monitor where i work with my photographies is calibrated for comercial print. when i see this picture on the monitor with internet computer i see it is a little uncontrasted
2) when i try to give a more contrast to this one, i loose some details, how you said, in lights and shadows...
thanks for your construction critique Andrzej! ;)

Yes, maybe it needs of a bit more contrast...
...but I think it can work in this way as well...lately I've seen a lot of photos with this style....Nice portrait! Glad to see another work from you! :)

The capture is great. I cant post a critic about the details. But the photo is so sensitive and beautiful.

Nice piece, I like the desaturation, it seems to work well with the mood. You certainly picked a guy with a lot of character, perfect subject for a portrait. I think the cropping (if any) is good, but i think i would have cropped out the grass in the top right corner, but you probably didn't want to take out that much of his head. Great work!

I love this work, for me the desaturation provides a beautiful soft contrast with the hardness of your subject. The man has so much character . all good for me ...no crits at all on this one

:o this is really awesome... the low saturation? well the lack of bright colors really helps the mood of this one and the guy has perfect facial expresson. well dont i like ^_^

A little bit washed colors but anyway good portrait.

my PS is also set for commercial print and i have this same problem. the images always turn out brighter and unsaturated. try turning down the brightness and turning up the contrast before saving... i know you lose details here and there, but its better than having it saved completely off.

i really like this portrait...its fantastic, i dont have any crits - i hardly mind the low contrast. =) top marks

Good technique....but not enough soul!....maybe If you could get your camera to eye level or lower....you can catch more soul....this way looks like you superior to he.....no offense...you very good profesional.
